Thursday, April 27th from 5:30p.m.-7:00p.m. in the cafeteria.  Come and help us celebrate Earth and Cultural Day and enjoy a FUN night with cooking demonstration by Derek Kurisu, Make-n-Take Earth project by a UH-Hilo Agricultural Professor; Mike Nagao, Cultural Performance by the Okinawan Club in Hilo and Karate demonstration and more!

School Kine Cookies Fundraiser

We will be launching the School Kine Cookies Fundraiser on Monday, April 3rd - Monday, April 17th.  Cookie pick-up date is schedule for Saturday, May 6th in the Waiakeaweana Elementary School Cafeteria. The money we raise from this fundraiser will go towards purchasing the school uniforms for next year as well as funding the 5th grader "end of the year" luncheon.  We appreciate all of your help in making this a success and for your continued support!

THINK Day of Discovery!

Waiakea Intermediate School presents THINK Day of Discovery for Elementary and Middle School students (Grades 3-8). Participate in two hands-on workshops that inspire students to explore a potential career in STEM. Visit www.wisrobotics.com for more information.

Coffee Hour

Coffee Hour is this Wednesday, March 1st at 8:00 to 8:45. Come to have some refreshments and talk with the administration. Hope to see you there.

Gifted and Talented Nominations Now Open

Students who will be in Grades 3, 4, and 5 in school year 2017-2018 and are interested in GT Math and/or Science; applications are now available in the office. All nominations are due by February 22nd. You can also download and print both documents by clicking the photo above. Please contact Emma Chong or Tarah Green with any questions.

Aunty Mimi's Astro Bash TOMORROW! January 11th.

Experience the dynamic world of astronomy with hands-on science projects from 4:30-5:30pm, and a live science show with Aunty Mimi to explore the frigid world of space from 5:30-6:30pm! Don't forget giveaways, face painting, and a chance to win some super cold prizes! Free and suitable for all ages. Thanks to Hilo Library, Gemini Observatory, Journey Through the Universe Hawaii Island, and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.
